The opening day of Roman Art from the Louvre coincides with the Fall Equinox and Festival of Apollo, Roman god of the harvest. Participants can celebrate the harvest and the exhibition opening with demonstrations of hawk handling, astrology, archery, stone carving and more.

Ancient Rome conquers Indianapolis with the U.S. debut of Roman Art from the Louvre, an exhibition featuring 184 art works from the Musée du Louvre’s unsurpassed collection.
Roman Art from the Louvre takes you back 2,000 years to the height of the Roman Empire and features monumental works depicting Roman public and private life. See relief sculptures, busts of prominent Roman leaders, statues of emperors, imperial jewelry, statues of Roman goddesses, portraits of actors and theatrical masks, military items, urns and other ritual objects, and household items found at Pompeii and Herculaneum.
