As the boyhood home of Abraham Lincoln, Indiana will join the rest of the nation to honor his 200th birthday (February 12, 2009). The bicentennial celebration kicks off in February 2008 and continues through 2010. Several events have been established to commemorate Abraham Lincoln, his family, and his legacy.
Communities and organizations are encouraged to incorporate the Lincoln Bicentennial Celebration into existing events or to plan new Lincoln events celebrating the Bicentennial.
