Easter Sunday Buffet

The opening day of Roman Art from the Louvre coincides with the Fall Equinox and Festival of Apollo, Roman god of the harvest. Participants can celebrate the harvest and the exhibition opening with demonstrations of hawk handling, astrology, archery, stone carving and more.

Ancient Rome conquers Indianapolis with the U.S. debut of Roman Art from the Louvre, an exhibition featuring 184 art works from the Musée du Louvre’s unsurpassed collection.

Roman Art from the Louvre takes you back 2,000 years to the height of the Roman Empire and features monumental works depicting Roman public and private life. See relief sculptures, busts of prominent Roman leaders, statues of emperors, imperial jewelry, statues of Roman goddesses, portraits of actors and theatrical masks, military items, urns and other ritual objects, and household items found at Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Labor Day weekend in Indianapolis, NHRA racers and fans come to O’Reilly Raceway Park for the biggest, baddest, richest and most influential drag race in the world.

This historic quarter-mile is the site of many of drag racing’s greatest moments. The event hosts two high-dollar bonus events: the $100,000-to-win Skoal Showdown for Funny Cars and the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle paying $25,000 to the winning Pro Stock Motorcycle rider.

SAVE INDIANAPOLIS HOMELESS PETS

Hill?s Offers Free Cat & Dog Adoptions to Indianapolis Area Residents

The Hill?s ?Second Chance for Love? Tour will be in Indianapolis to encourage local residents to help save the lives of one million Dogs and Cats by the end of the year.  Area residents can support this national pledge and give a local cat or dog a second chance for love by visiting a shelter in their area.  As part of the tour, Hill?s will cover the adoption fee for the first 25 adoptions between 11am and 2pm and provide these owners with a new pet starter kit during a special event at The Humane Society of Indianapolis.

New and current pet owners will have the opportunity to share their own adoption success stories and learn more about proper pet nutrition. Pet owners can also visit www.HillsPet.com/2ndChance to submit their pet adoption stories and photos as part of the Second Chance Contest.  Two grand prize winners will receive a 5 year supply of Hill?s® Science Diet® pet food and will be featured in the 2008 advertising campaign.  Each participant also will be able to nominate their favorite Hill?s partner shelter to win a grand prize of $10,000 for the organization.  Contest entries will be accepted through September 30^th and the winning Cat and Dog will be announced in November. 

According to the Humane Society of United States (HSUS), each year 6-8 million cats and dogs enter animal shelters in the United States.  This year, Hill?s has kicked off an aggressive goal to support the adoption of 1 million pets by raising awareness of the joys of pet adoption and the needs of local shelters. 

Hill?s has a long tradition of helping homeless pets because of their belief that every pet deserves a Second Chance for Love. 

Through the Hill?s Shelter Nutrition Partnership program, the company provides shelters with the superior nutrition of Science Diet® pet food to help nurture shelter animals and increase their chances of getting adopted.
